Dr. Scott and his wife of 28 years, Carolyn, reside in Westminster. They have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, working in his vineyard and traveling.

Dr. Lawyer began his association with the
practice as a patient and employee in the early 80's. He
is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland
Dental School. In 1997, Dr. Lawyer completed his postgraduate
training in Orthodontics, receiving his Orthodontic certificate
and masters in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland.
After six months as an associate, Dr. Lawyer became a partner
in January 1998.
Dr. Lawyer resides in Finksburg with his wife Suzie and
their six children; Josh, Mayson, Max, Katie, Chloe and
Isabella. His activities outside of the office include
spending time with his family, being involved at Lifepoint
Church, golf and following the Hokies.

Dr. Lu received her Bachelor of Science degree
in Medical Technology from the George Washington University.
In 1993, she graduated Magna cum Laude from the University
of Maryland Dental School with her Doctor of Dental Surgery
degree. She completed her specialty training in orthodontics
at Howard University in 1995. Dr. Lu joined the practice
as an associate in 1996 and then became a partner in January
2000.
Dr. Lu resides in Westminster with her daughters
Megan and Jenna. In her free time she enjoys traveling,
gardening and cooking.

 Dr.
Sorkin was born and raised in Louisiana. She attended Tulane
University in New Orleans and in 1995 graduated with a Bachelor
of Science in Biomedical Engineering. She then received
her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1999 at Boston University
Dental School. The following year she completed a general
practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in
New York and in 2002 earned her post-graduate training in
Orthodontics at New York University. She and her husband
Andrew, also a dentist, settled in Maryland in 2002. After
being an associate with Drs. Scott, Lawyer & Lu for
2-1/2 years, she became a partner in 2008.
Dr. Sorkin, Andrew and their two children,
Caleb and Abby reside in Brookeville. In her free time she
enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
